Choose by application, not thickness alone
Manual application and machine wrapping need different starting specifications. Film thickness alone does not establish whether a film works on a given wrapper or load.
Hand wrapping
Hand film is applied manually. Compare handling, roll weight and the way the operator wraps a representative load. Supplied pre-stretched film is another option to evaluate for manual use.
Machine wrapping
For equipment-based wrapping, share the machine model, film carriage or pre-stretch system, operating settings and current film. A catalogue elongation figure should not be treated as a universal machine setting.
Evaluate load containment
A film comparison should consider whether the wrapping process provides appropriate containment for the load. Film type, layer count, application tension and equipment settings work together. Check the result under representative conditions.
Prepare a sample enquiry
Include current film specifications, wrapping method, load dimensions, sharp edges or other handling concerns, expected volume and destination country. A roll label or technical sheet helps the conversation.
